Spring Fever is Here!

🌸 New Spring Hours Start Monday!

Spring Fever is Here.
So Are Extended
Spring Hours!

Starting Sunday, April 19th, we’re extending our spring hours for the next seven weeks!

Monday–Saturday:
9:00 AM – 6:00 PM

Sunday:
10:00 AM – 4:00 PM
Whether you’re soaking up ideas for a spring garden refresh, picking out thrillers, spillers & fillers for annual pots, or looking to grow your own fruits and vegetables, our experts are here for you.

We’d love to see you swing by on a Sunday or stop in after work to take advantage of the longer days. Spring only comes once a year, and we can help you make the most of it.

Our smelliest product is the one our customers swear by!

Mushroom compost is garden gold. It helps the soil hold water, improves its structure, and gives plants an organic, slow-release source of nutrients. When we heard the Monterey Mushroom plant in Princeton was closing two years ago, we bought as much of their prized mushroom compost as our bin would hold. We quickly sold out, and our president, Nate Hoerr, as been on the hunt for more ever since. He says, "I am happy to report that I stuck gold, figuratively speaking, and we have a limited supply in stock, available in bulk."

Just a few seats left for our 10 AM Succulent Teacup Workshop!

Spring is in full bloom, and we’d love for you to join us at Hoerr Nursery on April 25th for our Succulent Teacup Workshop! Lisa will show you how to design your own mini teacup garden, all materials included. It’s a relaxing way to spend a Saturday morning, and a lovely idea for a pre–Mother’s Day outing.
The teacup theme is a nod to Dot Hoerr,  daughter-in-law of our founder, D.A. Hoerr, beloved wife of second generation owner John Hoerr, and mother to Jeff and Johnny Hoerr, who manage our landscape and sod departments today. She enjoyed a good cup of tea, and owned a beautiful collection of teacups. Join us, and take home a teacup of your own to treasure!

10 AM session: open seats left
1 PM session: full

Weather Proof Your Garden

Between downpours one day and sunny skies the next, our gardens are feeling the roller-coaster weather! A good layer of mulch keeps the soil temperature steady, the moisture levels even, and stops weeds from taking over during these wet, warm weeks.

If you haven't mulched your garden yet, there's still time to get your garden in good shape from the ground up!

During our Mulch Madness event, March 16–April 25th, get FREE local delivery on 1–3 tons of premium wood mulch or 25% off when you pick it up. Use our calculator to plan your order, then call Stone Market at (309) 689-2513 to get your garden weather-ready!
