Help your climbing houseplants reach new heights! Join Ayden, our houseplant enthusiast, for a hands-on Make a Moss Pole Workshop at 10am on October 10th.
If you've grown a plant with aerial roots, like pothos, philodendron, or monstera, it might have come with a coco-coir pole. While these off-the-shelf poles provide support, they don't offer the moisture, nutrients, or textured surface these plants are reaching for.
By contrast, Ayden's custom moss poles mimic nature. These rainforest plants naturally climb the moist, nutrient-rich bark of the tree trunks, giving their aerial roots something to grip and feed from. You can see the difference in the photos above - the leaves are huge, and some of Ayden's plants have reached the ceiling! The poles can be added on to as the stem grows upward, so you'll get a big, healthy plant in a surprisingly small pot.
