There's something special about spring at Hoerr Nursery, and the best way to experience it is to come for a visit yourself.
We grow much of what you'll find here on site, because we're passionate about our plants. We've tended them until they're ready to take home with you, and chosen only the ones that we'd put in our own gardens.
Whenever you visit, you're seeing a curated collection of the things we love.
And there's so much to love! Annuals in every color. Graceful shade trees. Perennials that delight us year after year. Fountains that bring their soft music into a noisy world. We've filled the nursery with our favorite things, because we believe that a beautiful garden is a gift that you give to yourself, your family, and everyone who visits your home.

We’re here Monday–Saturday from 9am–6pm, and Sundays from 10am–4pm. Come out and find your own inspiration! We're here to listen, and to help you bring your garden to life.

Fresh-Cut Sod,
Ready When You Are

Nothing beats stepping barefoot onto a thick, green lawn. If yours isn’t quite there yet, fresh-cut sod is one of the fastest ways to transform it.
Our Hoerr homegrown sod is available in two dependable varieties: Black Beauty Fescue and Kentucky Bluegrass, both priced at $8.50 per roll (5’x2’, or 10 sq ft). Delivery is available for $140, bringing that fresh, just-cut quality straight to your door.

Sod is cut daily (weather permitting), and we recommend calling ahead to reserve yours for the day you’d like it.

A Mother’s Day Outing

This Saturday, May 9th from 11am–2pm (or while supplies last), the Princeville Lions Club will be at Hoerr Nursery, serving their crowd-favorite pork burgers for $5, along with pork chops ($7), brats ($4), hot dogs ($3), chips ($1), and drinks ($1), cash or check. It’s an easy, relaxed way to share a meal during a Mother's Day outing, while supporting a local group that gives back to the community.
You can also bring along any old eyeglasses you have at home and donate them at the front counter. As a small thank-you, you’ll receive a Hoerr Nursery 100th anniversary canvas tote bag or mug.
It’s a chance to slow down, enjoy something beautiful, and spend a little extra time together.
