Celastrus scandens 'Autumn Revolution'

Description

The majority of the flowers formed on Autumn Revolution are perfect, meaning that the flower itself has both male and female parts. In other words, you only need one plant to bear fruit. Perhaps because of this unique characteristic the fruit production is absolutely extraordinary and the berry size is twice that of the species.

Height: 15-25 Feet Width: 2-4 Feet Form: Broad Flower Color: Green, Yellow Bloom Season: Summer Foliage Color: Green Fruit Color: Orange, Red Growth Rate: Fast

Easily grown in most soils. Best in lean to average soils with regular moisture in full sun. Lean soils help restrain growth. Will grow in part shade, but needs full sun for best flowering and subsequent fruit display. Prune in late winter to early spring. Mature vines require little pruning other than removal of dead or excess growth.

Hardiness Zone: 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8 Light Needs: Prefers Full Sunlight
