Hoerr Nursery Announces its Blog!

Peoria, IL. – Hoerr Nursery has launched its first blog to share garden and landscape related knowledge in the cyber-world. It is named: GardenStuff Blog from Hoerr Nursery.

Entries will be written by a number of staff members to cover a wide range of garden, landscape and hardscape topics. The authors range from horticulturists, certified arborists, garden professionals, master gardeners, landscape designers, a bee keeper! and hobby gardeners with specialized knowledge.

One of the goals of the GardenStuff Blog will be to trigger discussions. Although each GardenStuff Blog contributor works on keeping current on science and trends in the industry, the cyber-world magic is attributable to discussions revealing new information, different information or new framing and threading of experiences to create a richer knowledge base.

Go to www.HoerrNursery.com to read the first postings. You can preview the most recent article on the home page and then click on the link to go to the complete article. Or, via the navigation bar on the homepage, click on "Blog" and read the postings. We will have about 6-8 people writing for the blog – each with a different point of view. A new posting will be added at least one time a week or so. Visitors can comment and add their own point of views to any of the postings.

Dan Mulch, Marketing Production Coordinator and webmaster said, “This is a great new medium to open a dialog with our customers and visitors to our website. With so many different authors, it gives visitors a chance to find a point of view that interests them. We’ll be updating it often.”

Dave Ploussard, Garden Center Manager said, ”I hope our customers will take advantage of commenting on the blog to help us determine what products and services to offer in our garden center, and to help us know what concerns they are dealing with in their gardens. I think it can be a great forum for us.”

Hoerr Nursery is currently featured as the cover story on the July issue of Today’s Garden Center magazine, a publication distributed to 20,000 garden centers. Hoerr Nursery has been named Number 57 in the Top 100 of all Independent Garden Centers in the Country. It has also been recognized, for the third year in a row, as One of the Top 100 Revolutionary Garden Centers in the Country.
