Today’s Garden Center Magazine to Feature Hoerr Nursery on Cover of July 2008 Issue

Peoria, IL. – Hoerr Nursery has been selected to be featured on the cover of Today’s Garden Center magazine for July 2008. It’s a nationwide trade publication focused on business solutions for retail garden centers. It has a circulation of 20,000, and its e-newsletter, Retail Scan, goes out to 8,000 subscribers. It typically selects from thousands of garden centers for its cover story each month.

The cover photo will feature key management people on the front line and behind the scenes for the Garden Center at Hoerr Nursery: Bryon Rinkenberger, Nursery Production Manager, and Ernie Weigand, part of the Nursery Production team who grow and buy all the green goods (living product) for Hoerr Nursery; Dave Ploussard, Garden Center Manager, and Steve Hartseil, StoneMarket Manager, who manage aspects of the Garden Center. Also, Jane Mason, Marketing Director and Jill Levene, Sr. Graphic Designer, who work as part of a team to develop marketing solutions for Hoerr Nursery.

Hoerr Nursery has been named Number 57 in the Top 100 of all Independent Garden Centers in the Country. It has also been recognized, for the third year in a row, as One of the Top 100 Revolutionary Garden Centers in the Country, by Today’s Garden Center Magazine.
