Hoerr Nursery Helps in Preparation for President’s Visit

Peoria, IL. – Hoerr Nursery was selected to add some special touches to the front porch of the home welcoming President George W. Bush to Peoria.

Amidst the flurry of preparation by caterers, rentals of tents, chairs, and other amenities to handle a crowd of approximately 1400 people, the owners of the home at which the event is being held, called on Hoerr Nursery to add some splash to the front porch that the president is expected to use with 18th Congressional District Candidate Aaron Schock.

"We bought in topiary plants, some hanging baskets, furniture and just kind of gave it a little bit of a ’wow’ factor. So we're pretty excited about it," said Kris Hermann, the expert designer from Hoerr Nursery who handled the installation.

Hoerr Nursery is currently featured as the cover story on the July issue of Today’s Garden Center magazine, a publication distributed to 20,000 garden centers. Hoerr Nursery has been named Number 57 in the Top 100 of all Independent Garden Centers in the Country. It has also been recognized, for the third year in a row, as One of the Top 100 Revolutionary Garden Centers in the Country.

Hoerr Nursery is a third-generation nursery, landscape service and Garden Center company in its 82nd year in Central Illinois.
